WAFB in Baton Rouge reported that Perrilloux and a relative had contacted several schools, including junior colleges in Mississippi. Perrilloux would be eligible to play this fall if he transferred to a Division I-AA school.
"Im not going anywhere," Perrilloux told The Times-Picayune, adding that hes looking forward to competing for playing time with incumbent JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn this season. "Im definitely not transferring. Im in Baton Rouge right now."
After being chosen the national high school player of the year by several organizations in 2004, Perrilloux sat out the 2005 season at LSU as a redshirt. He has four years of eligibility remaining. Perrilloux chose LSU despite committing to Texas early during the recruiting season, solidifying Coach Les Miles initial recruiting class.
Meanwhile, LSU received a commitment from highly regarded quarterback Jarrett Lee of Brenham, Texas.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Lee said he picked LSU over Nebraska and Arizona.
LSU also received a commitment from tight end/defensive end Jordan Hammond of Lakeland, Fla.
Hammond, a 6-5, 235-pounder, picked LSU over 23 other scholarship offers, a list that included finalists Ohio State, Tennessee, Clemson and Duke.
