Mitchell's arraignment postponed

Tennessee linebacker Marvin Mitchell's scheduled Monday arraignment at Knox County General Sessions Court was postponed to Thursday.

The senior, expected to be UT's starting middle linebacker this fall, was arrested for disorderly conduct approximately 3:30 a.m. on May 1 at Rocky Top Market on Cumberland Avenue.

Mitchell allegedly became argumentative and verbally abusive with an officer called to the scene to disperse a crowd.

The disorderly conduct charge is a Class C misdemeanor and Mitchell posted a $500 bond.

Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer indefinitely suspended Mitchell last week.
