Skinny: Arkansas leads the series 4-2, but Vandy took a 28-24 victory in Fayetteville last season. Vandy is coming off of losses to Michigan and Alabama as its tough early schedule continues.
Key Players: Arkansas TB Darren McFadden is healthy after rushing for 184 yards and two TDs last week against Utah State. LB Sam Olajubutu had 13 tackles. Vandy LB Jonathan Goff leads the SEC with 27 tackles in two games.
Line: Arkansas by 6.
UAB (1-1) AT GEORGIA (2-0)
Time: 1 p.m. TV: CSS pay-per-view.
Skinny: The Bulldogs beat UAB in the only previous matchup, but it wasnt easy as Georgia eked out a 16-13 win in 2003. UAB played Oklahoma tough in its opener before losing 24-17 on the road. The Blazers beat East Carolina 17-12 last week.
Key Players: Two premier defensive ends will be on the field Quentin Moses for Georgia and Larry McSwain for UAB. Georgia running back Danny Ware is averaging 7.4 yards per carry with two touchdowns.
Line: Georgia by 17.
LSU (2-0, 0-0 SEC) AT AUBURN (2-0, 1-0)
Time: 3:30 p.m. TV: WVLT.
Skinny: Sixth-ranked LSU and third-ranked Auburn battle for early supremacy of the SEC West. LSU won 20-17 last season and holds a 21-18-1 series advantage. The winner of this game has gone on to win the SEC West four of the past five years.
Key Players: Auburn RB Kenny Irons leads the SEC with 41 carries for 252 yards. WR Courtney Taylor had nine catches for 103 yards last week against Mississippi State. LSU QB JaMarcus Russell is 16-2 as a starter. He has completed 70 percent of his passes for 449 yards this season.
Line: Auburn by 32.
OLE MISS (1-1, 0-0 SEC) AT KENTUCKY (1-1, 0-0)
Time: 6 p.m. TV: Pay per view, ESPN Gameplan.
Skinny: Ole Miss held on for a 13-7 victory last season in Oxford and leads the series 26-12-1. Ole Miss is coming off of an ugly loss at Missouri while Kentucky whipped up on Division II Texas State last week.
Key Players: Ole Miss transfer RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis actually rushed for 115 yards for Indiana in a 51-32 loss to Kentucky in 2004. Hes third in the SEC this season with 196 yards. QB Brent Schaeffer is 10th in the SEC averaging 93.5 yards passing a game. Kentucky QB Andre Woodson has thrown for 440 yards and four TDs.
Line: Kentucky by 4.
LOUISIANA-MONROE (1-1) AT ALABAMA (2-0)
Time: 7 p.m. TV: Pay per view, ESPN Gameplan
Skinny: This is the first meeting between the two schools. ULM almost pulled off an upset last week, losing 21-19 at Kansas. Alabama also had a close calls, winning 25-17 against Hawaii and 13-10 against Vandy.
Key Players: Theres an all-points bulletin out for Alabama TB Kenneth Darby. He has been missing in action with only 90 yards rushing on 37 attempts for 2.4 yards per carry. Keith Brown leads the SEC with 14 catches for 231 yards. QB Kinsmon Lancaster leads ULM. He had 377 yards passing and 30 yards rushing against Kansas.
Line: Alabama by 242.
TULANE (0-1) AT MISSISSIPPI STATE (0-2)
Time: 7 p.m. TV: None.
Skinny: Mississippi State leads the all-time series, but its a lot closer than you would think (29-25-2). MSU pulled out a 21-14 victory in Shreveport last season. This is MSUs first non-conference game after losses to South Carolina and Auburn. Tulane lost its opener 45-7 at Houston.
Key Players: You couldnt tell it against Houston, but QB Lester Ricard is climbing up the record charts at Tulane. His favorite target is Preston Brown. MSU has had to rely on a defense led by LB Quinton Culberson (10 tackles against Auburn) and DL Deluan Robinson (career-high seven tackles against Auburn).
Line: Mississippi State by 11.
WOFFORD (1-1) AT SOUTH CAROLINA (1-1)
Time: 7 p.m. TV: Pay per view, ESPN Gameplan
Skinny: South Carolina holds a 16-4 series advantage, including a 38-14 victory in the last meeting in 2001. USC has won 13 in a row in the series. Wofford opened with a 28-21 victory against South Carolina State, but lost 41-38 to Coastal Carolina a week ago.
Key Players: South Carolina QB Blake Mitchell is suspended indefinitely after a bar fight earlier this week. Coach Steve Spurrier has moved former QB Syvelle Newton into the starting role. Wofford RB Kevious Johnson accounted for 145 yards in the Terriers season-opening victory.
Line: No line.
