SEC matchups
Time: 12:30 p.m. TV: WVLT.
Skinny: This is the 100th meeting in the series with LSU holding a 63-33-3 advantage. The Tigers have won six in a row against the Bulldogs, including last season's 37-7 victory in Starkville.
Key Players: WR turned QB Omarr Conner has given MSU's anemic offense a slight lift the past two weeks. An LSU win would give QB Jamarcus Russell his 18th victory as a starter, tying a Tigers' record set by Matt Mauck.
Line: LSU by 32 1/2.
Time: 3:30 p.m. TV: WVLT.
Skinny: The Crimson Tide leads the series 20-12 and crushed the Gators, 31-3, at Tuscaloosa last season. Florida is trying to begin a season 5-0 for the first time since 2001. Alabama is trying to bounce back from last weekend's tough, double-overtime loss to Arkansas.
Key Players: Things don't get any easier for 'Bama RB Kenneth Darby. The Gators have the top rushing defense in the SEC, allowing 42 yards per game. Florida QB Chris Leak is tied for the NCAA lead with 12 TD passes. WR Dallas Baker had seven catches for 148 yards against Kentucky.
Line: Florida by 13 1/2.
Time: 6 p.m. TV: None.
Skinny: Kentucky has a 4-0 record all-time against Central Michigan. The teams last met in 1992, with UK winning 21-14. Two of the meetings were decided by two points or less.
Key Players: Chippewas' WR Bryan Anderson had a career-high eight catch, 125-yard game in an overtime victory at Eastern Michigan last week. UK RB Rafael Little sat out last week's game against Florida (knee) and is questionable again this week. QB Andre Woodson has three 200-yard passing games this season.
Line: Kentucky by 7 1/2.
Time: 7 p.m. TV: None.
Skinny: Temple could be the worst team in NCAA Division I football. The Owls have lost to Buffalo (9-3), Louisville (62-0), Minnesota (62-0) and Western Michigan (41-7). Temple leads the all-time series 1-0 with a victory coming in 1935.
Key Players: Alabama natives DB Chris Page and WR Travis Shelton are two Temple players to watch - if you have to watch. Former Central High School star Cassen Jackson-Garrison had 71 yards rushing in Vandy's win last week against Tennessee State.
Line: Vanderbilt by 34.
Time: 9 p.m. TV: ESPN 2.
Skinny: The No. 10-ranked Bulldogs and Rebels meet for the first time since Georgia's 31-17 2002 victory in Athens. UGA leads the all-time series 28-12-1 and has won six in a row.
Key Players: Both of these teams have quarterback issues. Former UT player Brent Schaeffer has been ineffective at best for Ole Miss. Matt Stafford was benched last week after a near upset at home against Colorado. Fellow freshman QB Joe Cox saved the day with a late comeback.
Line: Georgia by 18.
