Prospect not making UT visit
UT coach Bruce Pearl said he's not allowed to comment on specific recruits, but responded when asked his philosophy on junior college recruits.
"My theory on junior college players is that you bring them in when you think there's a specific need or they are better than what you already have,'' Pearl said.
Alexander is a 6-foot-7, 225-pound power forward from Redlands (Okla.) Community College who also has been recruited heavily by Illinois and Oklahoma.
The first day of the spring signing period was Wednesday, and UT has two scholarships to offer.
Pearl stopped short of saying the Vols wouldn't sign anyone this spring.
"We're still out there,'' he said.
