Alexander signs with Illinois
Rodney Alexander, a forward from Redlands (Okla.) Community College,
signed a letter of intent with Illinois after being courted by
Tennessee as early as last week.
The News Sentinel reported Sunday that UT canceled his official visit.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound junior-college sophomore from Benton Harbor, Mich., also considered Indiana and Saint Louis. Kentucky and Kansas State made late inquiries.
Alexander averaged 13 points and five rebounds last season.
