Reaves close to picking UT

It appears to be only a matter of time until Charles Reaves II commits to play football for Tennessee.

The 6-foot, 177-pounder from Stone Mountain (Ga.) High School could make the announcement as soon as this week, according to his father and coach, Charles Reaves.

Reaves, who is projected to play wide receiver or cornerback, also has been considering Florida and Georgia Tech.

Reaves, who has long said he's leaning toward becoming a Vol, visited UT for the Orange and White festivities on March 31.

UT has six commitments for the 2008 class: offensive lineman Carson Anderson from Florence (Ala.) High School, tight end/fullback Ben Bartholomew from Montgomery Bell Academy, tight end Aaron Douglas from Maryville High School, cornerback J.T. Floyd from J.L. Mann High School in Greeneville, S.C., linebacker/defensive end Austin Johnson from Hickory (N.C.) High School and tailback Tauren Poole from Stephens County High School in Toccoa, Ga.
