Saints select Meachem with 27th overall pick

The New Orleans Saints drafted Robert Meachem with the No. 27 overall pick, making him the first offensive player from
Tennessee taken in the first round since Donte' Stallworth went to the Saints in the 2002 draft.

Meachem set UT's single-season record for receiving yards with 1,298.

The Tulsa, Okla., native is the second Vol to be drafted so far today, joining defensive tackle Justin Harrell, who went to Green Bay at No. 16.
