Tennessee senior linebacker Ryan Karl participated in the Vols’ first day of practice Friday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Karl has been limited in summer workouts after suffering a compression fracture in his back as a result of a freak weight room accident.
How limited Karl will be for the rest of fall camp remains to be seen.
Tennessee worked out in shorts and helmets, as part of the NCAA’s mandated acclimation period.
More details as they develop online and in (Saturday’s) News Sentinel.
