Rising seniors Megan Rhodes, Tonya Callahan and Shannon Doepking along with sophomore Nicole Kajitani of the Tennessee Lady Vols helped the Virginia Legends win the 23-Under Amateur Softball Association National Championship in Stratford, Conn.
Rhodes finished 2-0 with a team-best 0.76 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 183 innings pitched.
Callahan hit .389 (7-of-20) with a double and a team-high 6 RBIs, including the game-winning hit in the eighth inning of the title game.
Kajitani also hit .389 (7-of-20) with four runs scored.
All three players were chosen to the All-American Tournament Team.
Doepking had three hits and two RBIs.
