Wow! That is wild stuff. I don't know about that. He was very strong in the first 3/4 of the season but faded a bit in the end. LSU and Vandy were painful.
Congratulations though!

I said over on outermonvolia.com early in the year that Daniel would go on to become the best kicker in UT history. But it is a little early to name him first team All-American. Especially when he missed that chip shot against LSU.

And only a Freshman, atta boy!!!!!!!!!!

Good job kid. Sure wish you would have hit those big kicks against the Tigers though. Then you would be an All-American and a SEC Champion going to a bowl game that actually mattered. Bring your all-american leg to Florida kid. We are going to need it. 10 wins is a good goal for this team to reach. Sure will help us get over the bitter loss to LSU and the blow defeats to Golden Bears (who turned out not to be a good as everyone thought), Gators (Tebow is the man), and Bama (how did we let those chumps beat us).

i agree with you Nick but who knows, if it wasnt for britton getting injured, he might not even be playing.

Congrats, son. We need a bright star in Knoxville. Study hard, go to class and maybe you will make All-SEC lst team next year. Go Vols.

Terrific year by Lincoln and glad to see him get the recognition but I would've figured Colt David from LSU to be the choice. He was an upperclassman with better all-around numbers and performed better in the SEC championship. Thanks for the link bellyachin', I had to do a double-take myself.

You'd think someone at KNS would've mentioned the update on Fulmer's contract situation over the weekend.

jealousy has reared its ugly head in the all sec team this year some jerks that wouldn't vote for Berry and then made Lincoln 2nd team

Ignore these hosers, Mr. Lincoln. They talk bad about their mothers (but usually in the context that they wish she'd made them pay attention in school - now they deal with grease burns from working the deep fryer at Mickey D's). You have 3 more years to make history at UT...and the real fans will be behind you all the way!

Great job Daniel! I hope you have a lot of younger cousins and brothers like the Colquitt's and the Reviez's did. Congratulations. This brings back a memory of 1982 when Fuad Reviz was All-SEC as a sophmore, we beat #2 Alabama for the first time in 12 years, in Knoxville that year 35-28, led by 4 Reviez fieldgoals, I remember the Bear being interviewed after the game and he said, "How old is that kicker?" and the interviewer said he is a just a sophmore, the Bear then said, "Well I guess there goes two more National Championships down the Drain". Daniel, you are in good company, keep it up and you may have some NC impact in your future!

Lincoln did do very well. wish he coulda gotten those against LSU, but I'm thinking that as an 18-19 year old he may have been a little 'worn' from all the kicking this year.
He sure did better than anyone expected going into the season.
