The first game of the Tennessee-Kansas men's basketball home-and-home series has been set.
The series, announced Saturday, will begin in Lawrence, Kan., with the teams playing in Allen Fieldhouse on Dec. 20, 2008. The second game will be in the 2009-2010 season in Knoxville.
“It should be a great game,” Kansas coach Bill Self told the Lawrence Journal-World newspaper. “They play fast. You would think with a bunch of young guys (on Kansas' team) it would be a very difficult game, but a game that should give us preparation before we play someone in our league like Missouri in the way they press.”

Get ready cause the competition gets tough each year when we schedule teams like this. I just want to see TBA be an intimadating place for opponents to play in. The last game I watched on Sports South the crowd just didn't seem lively. Maybe it's the competition or maybe the execution of the teams on the floor, either way the crowd was just not into it. Kansas is a big pick up on the schedule and even with them losing players after this season teams like that don't rebuild they just... reload.

i like when we scedual games like kansas before peal came we hardly ever sceduald top 10 teams since were playing them its great cause you no were you are when you play great teams and it helps come tourny time .if you beat big time teams or even lose by 1 at ohio state ,freethrows,freethrows but games like that are better than gardner webb cause when you loose to teams like that you turn out like the teams i watched at tennessee during the 80.s and 90's where i used to hope we won more than we lost now i look forward to 20 plus wins and hopefully soon we can win 30 in a few seasons
