Fulton's Rogan to make official visit

UT evaluating defensive end Hall of Chattanooga Brainerd

On Wednesday night Dennis Rogan of Fulton High School accepted the PrepXtra Offensive Player of the Year at the Wolf Kaplan Center inside Neyland Stadium.

The 5-foot-11, 183-pound tailback/defensive back will be back on campus this weekend as Tennessee hosts three official visitors. Rogan committed to UT in October.

The other two visitors are Chattanooga Brainerd defensive end Corey Hall and Alcoa defensive end Rae Sykes.

Sykes, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive end from Alcoa, told the News Sentinel on Wednesday that he is considering UT and Florida State. He's the News Sentinel's second-best prospect in Tennessee.

Hall has been offered a scholarship by Middle Tennessee State and is being heavily recruited by Louisville and Marshall. UT continues to evaluate him.

Academics have been reported as a possible concern by a Chattanooga radio station. That could work to UT's advantage if Hall agrees to enroll at UT after a stopover in prep school or junior college. By doing so, Hall wouldn't count against the 2007 allotment of scholarships.

The Vols already have 28 commitments and have turned some prospects away.
