The 6-5, 260-pound Hall said hes leaning towards Marshall. He is also considering UT and Middle Tennessee State.
Academic issues have been the stumbling block on joining the Vols. If he didnt become eligible, Hall could not enroll at UT, as per SEC rules, and would likely be forced to attend prep school for at least a semester to improve his academic standing.
If Hall signs with the Thundering Herd and still has academic issues this fall, then he can enroll at Marshall but cant play in his first year.
"I like the atmosphere," Hall said of Marshall. "There are a lot of things I like about Marshall."
Hall announced he was committed to UT last fall. The problem was he hadnt been offered a scholarship. Now, UT has offered but told Hall to expect a prep school stopover because of grades and a very limited number of scholarships available for UTs 2007 class.
"I like Tennessee," Hall said. "Its the biggest program you can get when you talk college football. Its the SEC."
