Jerod Mayo, Jonathan Hefney and Britton Colquitt were Tennesse's first-team entries on the SEC Coaches' Preseason All-SEC football team announced Thursday.
Mayo, a junior linebacker, and Colquitt, a junior punter, were among only eight underclassmen named to the first team.
Hefney is a senior defensive back.
Quarterback Erik Ainge and running back LaMarcus Coker were named to the second team. Offensive lineman Anthony Parker was named to the third team.
Andre Woodson of Kentucky is the first-team quarterback, joined by running backs Darren McFadden (Arkansas) and BenJarvus Green-Ellis (Ole Miss), receivers Earl Bennett (Vanderbilt) and Early Doucet (LSU) and tight end Jacob Tamme (Kentucky).
