Mixed results for Bjorklund; fouls for Baugh

Angie Bjorklund, who has signed with Tennessee, came off the bench and scored 7 points on 3-of-7 shooting, but was 1-of-5 from 3-point range in a 90-75 exhibition win over Brazil by the U.S. Women’s U19 World Championship Team on Friday in the Canary Islands.

She had four rebounds, two assists and three steals in 21 minutes.

Vicky Baugh, who also signed with the Lady Vols, had a steal, a blocked shot and did not score in four minutes but was called for five fouls.

In Thursday’s 64-62 win over Australia, Bjorklund helped the U.S. tie the game with a 3-pointer at 62-62 before Jantel Lavender scored after making a rebound with six seconds left in the game.

Bjorklund finished with six points on 1-of-5 shooting — from 3-point range — and made all three of her foul shots. She had four turnovers, one block and one assist.

Baugh did not score in eight minute and was called for three fouls. She also had three rebounds, three turnovers and one steal.
