Tennessee senior tight end Chris Brown is on the John Mackey Award watch list, the Vols Sports Information Office announced.
The award goes to the player judged the best tight end in college football, and Brown is one of 31 players named on the list.
He caught 31 passes last season for 239 yards. He had seven catches for 66 yards in the Outback Bowl.
