Gatlin works out for Titans

The Tennessee Titans worked out sprinter Justin Gatlin, the 2004 Olympic 100-meter gold medalist and former University of Tennessee standout whose appeal of his track suspension will be heard Monday.

Asked about Gatlin’s football background, Fisher said it wasn’t much. Gatlin has worked out for Houston and spent some time in a minicamp with Tampa Bay.

“As you would expect, he can really run, and he is working on all those aspects associated with becoming a receiver. He is committed to work at it so he is going to work out on it on his own,” Fisher said.

Gatlin has not played football since he was a teenager. He tested positive for testosterone and faces a ban of up to eight years from track and field.

Hey Justin, you might want to take a look at bike racing. It would be a much easier conversion. Sincerely, Michael Rasmussen.
