Several athletes with local ties are on the USA Track and Field rosters announced Friday.
Rubin Williams, a rising senior at Tennessee, will run the 200 meters at the 2007 Pan Am Games from July 22-29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Williams recently added to his All-America credentials at the NCAA outdoor championships.
Mary Jane Harrelson, a former Appalachian State runner who lives in Knoxville, will run the 1,500 in Brazil.
Headed for the Pan Am Junior Athletic Championships from July 6-8 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, are West High School star Jacquelyn Coward and UT sprinters Lynne Layne and Kyle Stevenson.
Coward, who has one more year at West, will run the 400 hurdles. Layne will run the 100 and Stevenson the 200.
