According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, sports marketing giant IMG World is in talks to acquire Host Communications.
There are a number of local connections to this story. Lexington-based Host -- better known locally as the Vol Network -- manages the University of Tennessee Athletics Department's marketing rights. They've been in the news lately as a central player in the dispute between the university and the Big Orange Army.
