The University of Tennessee has 14 players worthy of post-season honors, according to a list of candidates submitted to the SEC Office.
UT's offensive candidates are senior quarterback Erik Ainge, junior running back Arian Foster, junior wide receiver Lucas Taylor, senior tight end Chris Brown, and junior offensive linemen Josh McNeil and Anthony Parker.
The defensive candidates are junior tackle Demonte Bolden, senior end Xavier Mitchell, junior inside linebacker Jerod Mayo, sophomore outside linebacker Rick McCoy, freshman safety Eric Berry and senior safety Jonathan Hefney.
UT's all-star list also includes junior punter Britton Colquitt and freshman placekicker Daniel Lincoln.
The names are submitted to the league office and then disseminated to the media. Southeast media and SEC coaches select all-conference teams at the end of the season.

6 defensive candidates! Wow, other than Berry, I've been watching the wrong crowd! Did they put Phil in for coach of the year? What's that you say, we gave up 41 to Bama, I thought they just lost to Monroevilla of La-La land, couldn't be! Now, now, just a few facts in jest! Go Vols, beat the Cats!

and they've been telling all along how great the D is........ only berry can be considered for anything on D

ilove-football, he'd have to beat out Oregeon which would be hard to do, Nutt deserves some consideration and Ole ball coach, no wait, he held Ga without a TD!

Does anybody think any of them other than Berry, Lincoln and Colquitt will make first or second team?
McNeil, Taylor or Foster maybe for the offense, McCoy for the defense, maybe. But none first team.

14 is all we could come up with. How about SC Defense for not recoving the fumble. The VU Field Goal Kicker.

Mayo is making a strong push late in the year and Berry should be a lock. Beyond that, I just don't see it on defense. Taylor has leveled off the past several weeks along with Ainge. I still stand behind Chris Brown as one of my favorite players on this team although he has been underutilized and thus has little to no chance of making it IMO. Foster has a bad reputation with the fumbles and overcoming the RB by committee deal. I think McNeil and Parker both have a strong chance, the low sack totals have gotten a lot of notice this year.

Seinfeld was NEVER this funny! LMAO! Ainge, Berry and the kickers are the only ones deserving consideration.

DSaVol:I agree as well except I would say Arian deserves concideration. He is Third in the SEC with 5.5 yards per carry , behind Felix Jones 9.3 , and McFadden 5.6.My problem is why does he then have 91 less carries than McFadden. Not saying he is McFadden , but come on.

Oh , and tied in TD'S with 12.
