Titans release Veal

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans have released defensive tackle Demetrin Veal and promoted defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

The Titans signed Veal, a former University of Tennessee player, after defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth suffered a right hamstring injury in the Nov. 4 game against Carolina.

Veal made six tackles in the three games Haynesworth has missed since suffering the injury.
