Harrell coming along strong

All indications are Green Bay rookie defensive tackle Justin Harrell will be active for the third consecutive game.

Harrell, the Packers' first-round draft pick from Tennessee, was inactive the first four weeks of the season before making his debut against Chicago on Oct. 7. The Packers have six defensive tackles on their roster but have activated only four each week. Harrell got his first action after Colin Cole was inactive because of a concussion.

"He's done everything we asked him to do," defensive line coach Robert Nunn told The Green Bay Gazette. "The last game, I wish I would have got him more snaps, but he's on track. When he's gotten in there, I think he only had one minus the other day. He's playing a little slow. He's got to play faster."

Nunn said Harrell has been on the field for 20 snaps.

On Tuesday, the Packers got a scare when Harrell went down with a left leg injury and had to be taken by cart to the trainer's room.
