Raleigh adds Beck, Headley to staff

Alan Beck and Nate Headley have been added to the University of Tennessee baseball staff, first-year coach Todd Raleigh announced Monday.

Beck has been hired as director of baseball operations, while Headley, older brother of former Vol third baseman Chase Headley, joins the Vols' staff as a volunteer assistant coach, joining full-time assistants Bradley LeCroy and Fred Corral.

Primary responsibilities for the Hudson, N.C., native include managing all baseball camps, oversight of student managers, serving as an academic liaison to the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center and assistance with on-campus recruiting.

Beck played for Raleigh at Western Carolina, where Beck was a three-time All-Southern Conference selection and ranks on school and league career top-10 lists in several offensive categories.

Headley primarily will work with Tennessee's outfielders and assist with hitting instruction.
