Tennessee guard Chris Lofton was named among 10 players on the Wooden All-America team, announced today in Los Angeles.
Lofton is the only senior on the team that also includes Memphis guards Chris Douglas-Roberts and Derrick Rose, D.J. Augustin of Texas, Michael Beasley of Kansas State, Stephen Curry of Davidson, Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, Kevin Love of UCLA, Brandon Rush of Kansas and Luke Harangody of Notre Dame.
Also announced today were the five finalists for the Wooden Award, which goes to college men's basketball's top player. That list is comprised of Augustin, Beasley, Curry, Hansbrough and Love.
The award will be announced April 11 in Los Angeles.
More than 1,000 national media and college basketball experts had until Monday to cast votes based on players’ regular and postseason performances, character and academic performance.
