Carson-Newman College wide receiver James Banks signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns.
The 24-year-old Banks started his college career at Tennessee. After two seasons with the Vols, Banks was dismissed in 2003 for repeated disciplinary offenses.
Banks, who has been working out at home in Indianapolis, Ind., will head to Cleveland to work out in the Browns rookie camp this weekend. As a junior, he caught 22 passes for 370 yards for the Eagles, averaging 33.6 yards per game.
Banks’ role in 2007 may have been as a decoy. Banks would often draw a double team, allowing the Eagles to run their veer-option the other way for almost 500 yards and 49 points per game.

what's up with the streaming strip tease on the banner of this page? Am I the only one seeing that?

Good luck to James Banks. Hopefully young men who have some history of making bad choices can grow up and take advantage of a second or third chance to move on with their future.

imw8n4u, I saw it too, its Adams tribute to James Banks.

I wish James Banks the best. He could have been one of the "great ones to wear orange". Unfortunately, the college landscape is littered with could haves & should haves.
Sure hope he's learned from his mistakes. Either way, I just hope he makes a life out of what God has given him talent-wise.

Yeah, what's up with the strip tease on this thing? My goodness...that's ridiculous.

imw8n4u - I've been seeing it too, brother. Before I file a complaint, I plan to investigate each site. Slowly. Often. For days. Weeks even. Gather all the facts, you know.
