Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin practiced for the first time in the preseason Saturday, and there’s a chance he could play in Saturday’s opener against Hawaii, coach Urban Meyer said.
Before Saturday, Harvin had been limited to conditioning work while still rehabbing his surgically repaired heel. His status for Saturday’s game will be determined during practice this week.
Quarterback Tim Tebow said it was good to have Harvin back, and that the junior looked even quicker than usual.
“Everyone else has been practicing all camp and they’ve got heavy legs,” Tebow said told The Gainesville Sun. “Percy was fresh, so he really looked fast out there today.”

The big question, can he stay healthy? I don't wish injury on anyone, but I know our chances are better if FL doesn't have him in the line up.

On the other hand, if he does get hurt before the TN game, all the gator fans will have an even bigger excuse(other than Ingram's injury already) for a loss if it happens. But to hear most FL fans talk, Tebow doesn't really need the other 10 players on the field with him to win anyway. FB is still a week away but the intrigue is in full swing. I'm ready for the season to get here.

The Gators are going to need an off-week after the physical whipping UT is going to lay on them. The team has been waiting a year for this.

gator4life, 8:45, I actually agree with you on something.

DC...Has Percivus ever been 100% healthy? I think people are assuming it's more than what it really is. I think he's fine they're just resting him as a precautionary measure. Same thing we did with Arian.

I think Tebow and Harvin will have a tough time staying healthy this season. Teams are wising up to the play selection, and Auburn wrote the textbook on how to stop them, and Michigan followed it to a "T"......

Michigan did not stop them, unless you call 35 points being stopped.
