I'll eliminate the anticipation. Tennessee will go 10-2 this season. Here's how I break it down, game-by-game.

10-2 sounds about right to me.

13-1..... Will lose at Auburn then get revenge against them in Atlanta, then beat Southern Cal in the National Championship Game! Go Vols and FREE GERALD!!!!
VOLPhan writes:
OK, Georgia maybe, but not SC!!!
11-1
GO VOLS!!!
longtimefan writes:
I agree with 10-2 but switch Auburn and SC. Both tough games on the road but I think Auburns offense will be harder for us to stop. We will score enough points against SCs tough defense to win. AUBURN 27 TENN 24....TENN 17 SC 13

10-2 with losses to UGA and Auburn
I'm waiting till after Monday to decide if I'm going to add in another loss. Also, if UCLA beats UT, Florida will leave Knoxville with a W.
bugman (Inactive) writes:
dream on...Tennessee loses to Florida, GA, Alabama and possibly South Carolina. 9-4 at their best and 11-1 if they'd fire Fulmer.
longtimefan writes:
manbug....... Florida? yea, if the VOLS dont play their best but i believe they will. Alabama? you are out of your mind! Last year was a fluke and they know it! The beatdown they get this year will heal the scars caused by that abberation.
jasonn1970 writes:
I think Georgia is the most likely loss. I agree South Carolina and Auburn are the next most likely setbacks. Anywhere from 9-3 to 11-1 wouldn't surprise me.
99gator writes:
the writer has florida winning the national title and losing to tennessee.
how many people here would that drive absolutely insane?
don't worry....won't happen. IMO, tenn's chances of beating florida are better than florida's chances of winning the national title.
Sheepscape writes:
9-3. I'll believe ten regular season wins when I see it.
PreventUT writes:
Hooker is the man. Not only can he predict the final outcome of each game, but he can also predict the scores. Some of y'all are just too good!! With so many variables affecting a team's long and windy season, I'll stick to the W's and L's. But I'll give y'all props if any of your scores prove to be even remotely accurate!!
Oh, ok...let me give one a try:
UT 24 UCLA 13
GerryOP writes:
10-2 is certainly a good possibility, but so are 12-0, 6-6, and everything in between! That's the beauty of predicting now. No one is wrong -- yet!
I'm still hanging with 8-4 or 9-3. Losses to FL, AL, Auburn with the difference being SC. But, who knows? Maybe Clawson will make a big difference in gameday coaching.
PreventUT writes:
99: Not that it matters any, but I have Florida winning the East (beating UGA) and losing to UT. Either way, I expect the UT/UF game to be close, as it is more often than it's not!

i'll take losing to tenn and making it to atlanta right now.
some of fellow orange and blue clad friends may shoot me for saying that, but i would.
marinevol writes:
Strange, but I believe you once posted that UT shouldn't bring up winning the SEC East to Florida fans since Florida beat us last year. I believe you (could have been some other Fla. poster) also commented that winning the division was not a big deal if you don't win the conference championship. Seems like your positions change more than a certain very old presidential candidate.
jmbigorange#280428 writes:
I still don't know why people still think UGA is a loss. Unless UGA can fix their patchwork defensive line i don't see them beating UT. If Moreno couldn't run on UT last year with a veteran O-line what's gonna make him more dangerous this year? Especially if we have GW at the MLB position plugging the gaps. UF is our biggest challenge period!
jmbigorange#280428 writes:
I meant offensive line.
PreventUT writes:
I'd take a W against Florida and a back-door entrance into a BCS bowl. Though I really dobt the SEC will be represented in the NC game this year.
Last year UT went undefeated at home. 15 straight would be very impressive!

GerryOp -1:50 - Did I ship waaay too much Grey Goose Koolade?
Our biggest challenge lays directly in front of us, nothing more, nothing less.
SemperVol writes:
jmbigorange, you mean No-show Moreno?
IBleedOrange444 writes:
99gator 1:46 -
It would be way better than losing to the gayters by 1 in the 4th quarter at home and then watching them go on to win the NC.
LiveFaith writes:
Ok Mr. Hooker, my wife and I discussed it and we would like to go ahead and lock in at this rate. Can we sign the paperwork today?
Make those 2 losses to Wyoming & NIU too if you could please. :-D
CoverOrange writes:
Point 1, seeking revenge helped us NADA against Florida last year. Don't think it will help Georgia this year against us.
Point 2, getting fired up by off the field events helped Tennessee over Georgia and Alabama over Tennessee. Can not predict events will reoccur to help anybody.
Point 3, Auburn's total revamping of offense and change of defense coordinator will slow them early on. Opportunity here. Too bad we don't have three games before Florida instead of two.
Alabaster_Jones writes:
Alot of people are high on a team who lost its starting QB. I really believe Tennessee loses to Fla, Ga, SC, Auburn and Bama. So 7-5 would be the call.
BUT......I do think with a little luck (ala 1998) it could be a 11-1 season (no one runs the tabel in the SEC anymore). Only time will tell.
CoverOrange writes:
Point 4, Miss St scares me. If LSU falters due to QB shuffle, and Auburn is slow out of the blocks, could MSU be standing in the doorway of the west?
ctownvol writes:

Exactly what I was thinking! That little scenario didn't feel too well either.

If we could only hire Nostradamus.

ALABASTER.... Not like Tennessee is starting a freshman at Quarterback. Crompton can play. IMO, we are better at Quarterback than we were last year
SavDawg writes:
I just heard via ESPN, Harvin could miss 3 games. If that's true, that would include UT, right?
SemperVol writes:
We are week 4, 3rd game yes, but week 4.
GerryOP writes:
pdhuff, unless the UCLAns try an onside kick on the opening kickoff, are faster than Fulmer expects, or has naked people in the trees outside of the Rose Bowl, I think we are safe Monday night ... maybe! On the other hand, I doubt if UCLA will show much respect for Crompton's green jersey.
longtimefan writes:
Harvin WONT miss the UT game! You can mark that down!
volguy41nlouisiana writes:
Why in the world.....??? when we are 4 days from kickoff...would we be talking bout Fla....or Bama...or our record....MAN...thats what we try to prevent the team from doin and here we are....FOCUS.........UCLA is all that matters....then UAB....then the Gators and so on......Line up....support our boys...BUT one game at a time....Execute....stay focused...dont look ahead...and the season will be all we dreamed of....

Three hours 'til all these predictions sh*t the proverbial bed.

I see us losing to Auburn and UGA.
I see very tough games against bama, Flrida, Miss State, and South Carolina.
My concern early: kicking game. All you holier-than-thous screaming for Britton to be executed, well, we shall see if it comes home to roost. Cunningham is nowhere near as good, and could end up costing us some games.
Sheepscape writes:
Our current punter better have his foot and head in the game, that's for sure.

Thats what makes me laugh ......here we are...die hard fans...and we can say....(before even taking one snap)...I see us losing to ....(insert team here)....good lord...WHY????thats the great thing bout being a fan huh?..esp before the games have even been played...at least see us winning for gods sake....HONESTLY....I havent made a prediction...but...I truly dont SEE anyone beating us...we may lose...but I dont expect us too....Hard games (FLA. are at home)...We own GA....everyone loves Auburn....(why???)BAMA>>>revenge game that will be atoned for....SC...tough..but doable.....I mean...it sets up for a great season....BUT I CHOOSE TO SEE US WINNING....CALL ME CRAZY....GO VOLSSSSSSSSSSS

Everyone is asking why is UGA so hyped up, but I pose the same question of why is Auburn so hyped up and expect us to lose to them? I know that they have beat us the last three times we played them, and that they have a new offensive scheme and coordinator, but so do we. I think we have just as good of a chance as they do to win. The law of averages has to prevail at some point and we will break their little win streak over us. So why not this year?
That little law of averages goes for the Gators and us as well. One day UT will beat UF (that could be this year as well)and UK will beat UT..... just hopefully not in this lifetime)
OakyVol09 writes:
No way we lose to SC. By the time we play them we will have battled through 3 weeks of UF, AU, and UG. We will be rolling on all cylinders by the time we play ole Spurrier. If we go 2-1 through the UF, AU, UG stretch we will be in great shape. MSU and Abalama bother me much more that SC. Shouldn't have anything less than 9-3.

Crazyvolguy4inla.... This was an article about the schedule and making predictions. No one is getting ahead of their selves. Something to do until the Vols line up against the Babybluebruins. Of course if the mighty VOLS should somehow stumble and fall monday night, then my prediction is 4-8. Your welcome.
murrayvol writes:
Look inside Hooker's #s and you see 5 wins by a collective 19 points. No margin for a bad bounce or brain cramp play there.
Yes, 10-2 is doable, but so is 7-5. Give me a double shot of Grey Goose. I'm going with Hooker.
