Stricklen (stomach virus) unlikely to play

NORFOLK, Va. - Shekinna Stricklen likely won't play for Tennessee in tonight's game at Old Dominion. The freshman guard has a stomach virus.

The Lady Vols are already thin at guard after coach Pat Summitt announced Wednesday that Cait McMahan would not play in order to rest her surgically repaired right knee.

McMahan's absence deprives UT of its most experienced point guard. The position is left in the hands of freshmen - Briana Bass and Alicia Manning. Bass is the only true point guard.

It will be tough not having those two playing with such a young team but they can do it. Go Lady Vols!

It wasn't a pretty win but it was a gutsy win which is better for our Baby Lady Vols. They showed grit and determination down the stretch and won the game the old-fashioned way: they earned it!!!

After the game, I'm sure Pat hurried into a closet and grinned real quick. Then, she came back out with her poker face on.

Angie stepped up big time by making the important shots down the stretch. It was the best complete game she has played at UT.

Her only real negative was 3 TOs, BUT she had one assist to start the game, 2 steals, 6 rebounds, only 1 foul, 3-4 FT-FTA, 10-19 FG-FGA with 6-10 three pt FG-FGA, for a total of 29 points in 38 minutes! Welcome back, Angie!!!

Hope that her parents got to watch on TV plus her sister! We'll see her sister after we beat Stanford!!!

GO BABY LADY VOLS---OUR FUTURE CHAMPIONS!!!
