Wayne Chism worked at full speed as Tennessee’s basketball team returned to practice Wednesday.
The junior center left UT’s 89-72 win over Louisiana Monday night on a stretcher after a hard fall. He spent Monday night at UT Medical Center for observation.
Chism’s quick recovery is good news for the 14th-ranked Vols, who visit Kansas on Saturday.

That is a blessing from the Lord that he recovered so quickly. I was at the game and he was on the floor for probably at least 10 minutes, if not more. I'm happy to see that the injuries were minor and he was up and about again.
GO VOLS! Pluck the Hawks! =)

Final from Memphis. Memphis 80 Northeastern 48.
Memphis finally beginning to look like a team and playing much better the last two games. Still some rough sports and poor shooting but super freshman Tyreke Evans is finally coming on. It's definitely more encouraging. Tigers were exceptional from the free throw line hitting 31 of 35.
I'm afraid we may actually be pretty good by the time we play the vols. Sorry I know you were hoping they wouldn't get it together by then.

True, anyway it doesn't matter how good you think you are starting to look, weren't you ranked number one last year when we beat u on your own court. And you were pretty good the year before when we demolished u down in Knoxville.

Great win over, tigers will play 20 more teams like them.

Happy New Year!!! The new year brings good and bad news. The good news is it's 2009 and 2008 is behind us. Another year that we choked out in the sweet 16 is over and we can look forward to a new year and another chance. The bad news is...we're still the vols and ..well.. we're just not very good.

No one cares about Memphis right now. We have a number of big games before we play Memphis. I guess you guess don't.

Memphis beat Northeastern about as bad as they beat Marist, which is ranked 245th in the nation according to www.teamrankings.com. I'd say that's something to be proud of. Although you Memphis fans better watch out too, because we blew out Chattanooga by 39, Lord knows they're a power house.

Perhaps Cheater Cal should sign Evans the Murderer's cousin - I heard he's an excellent SHOOTER!

Hey good one the_vol.

Time for all of the Vols to put together their best game so far. National TV, name opponent, tough home crowd--a win there could be HUGE for the Vols the rest of the way. Wayne and Tyler have to come up big, somebody has to make some threes, and we have to take care of the ball. If all of that happens, it will be the start of a happy New Year indeed! Let the Big Orange sun cut through the Kansas "Phog"!
P.S.: Darn shame that this game will be on opposite the Lady Vols at Rutgers--my remote will get a workout today! If both the men and women win, this will be one of the great days in the history of UT basketball! GO BIG ORANGE!!!
