All three visitors at UT

Tennessee had no surprises with its list of official visitors, the final weekend for recruits to visit schools. The Vols are hosting three prospects: Enrique Davis, Marcus Davis and Jerrell Harris.

Enrique Davis is a 5-foot-11, 220-pound running back from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va. Davis signed with Auburn in February 2007 but is now considering UT, Oregon, Maryland, and Ole Miss, along with Auburn.

Marcus Davis is a 6-4, 220-pound athlete from Ocean Lakes High in Virginia Beach, Va. Davis is considering UT, N.C. State and Virginia Tech.

Jerrell Harris is a 6-3, 215-pound linebacker from Gadsden City (Ala.) High who is considering UT, Auburn, Clemson and Southern Cal.

Get between them and the door and get the commitment.

I agree...Keep them away from idiots and spend a lot of time with the coaches this weekend. We need these three guys.

New o.c. and Chavis need to be in these mens ears
and let them know what it will be like to be a VOL!!

vol1994 writes:

I'd be surprised if we land Davis but who knows.

Hopefull he and the others will realize we have more tradition and they can make an impact on a possible championship team one day

bullfrog07 writes:

You don't won't Chavis in there ears unless you want them to commit elsewhere - he's not the best with high school kids. I'd keep him away. Whoever has the personality that can convince these kids that UT is the place for them is who needs to be in there ears all weekend. That's something that Trooper was great at, convincing a kid that UT is the place for him and that he will take care of him.

We need these guys.

govols8080 writes:

Enrique will be the hardest to get, but Marcus and Jerrell might commit. With an already loaded back field Enrique will probably go to Ole Miss. Marcus could be the deep play threat that we missed all last season. Jerrell could come in and fight for playing time with Jerod Mayo and Ryan Karl gone. This could be a strong finish if nothing bad happens during the visit.

offer them money and donuts fulmer

vol1994, I bleed orange as much as anybody and I would surely like to get these guys, but, really, it is hard to say that UT has more tradition than Auburn and USC. We have traditions and a history we love, and we hope to get recruits to buy into them, but IMHO it is not a good sales technique to try to tell them that ours are better than those. Oregon, NC State, Maryland, and the rest are a different story, of course(;-D)! Maybe those were the ones you were talking about!

ATLVOL1 writes:

tell them they will start as freshman, can have their own suite in gibbs, they do not have to study, and that UT girls are easy.....cmon...it 'll work.

Offer them ride-alongs with G. Jones and Co.

take em to toddys to throw horseshoes

rabidvol1998 writes:

I think Toddys is bad for brain cells. Or was that Casa's? Oh well, bumper pool and horseshoes should do the job.

MikeTheVol writes:

It'd be sweet to pay Auburn back for having stolen Carnell (Cadillac) Williams from under our noses when he was recruited. Even if we get just one of these guys, it would be great!

GreerVol22 writes:

If I'm The president of the University of Tennessee, I send Hamilton and the coaching staff about 15 copies of Trump's book, "The Art of the Deal" and make them read it tonight. If any of you have read it, you know where I'm coming from.

Letting these three slip away could prove fatal for years to come...no they are all that great, but simply from an image standpoint.

gohawks1 writes:

Get Drayton to talk to these guys. He's supposed to be great at recruiting, so turn him loose.

TDTN, concerning your 5:37 comment - LOL!

I'm sorry, I must be on the wrong website iam4ua. I was looking for a 6-6 team, but I guess I am on one for a team that won 10 games, and one that wouldnt sell their own souls for a winning season.

What the . . . ? I swear that comment was there a minute ago. Maybe I ate too many mushrooms or something.

gohawks1 writes:

That would be a courtesy visit, iam4ua, not a courteous visit. Never heard of one of those...

iam4ua, I agree, Go to Ala. and play for Satan(Saban) for two years and when he leaves you can maybe play for Dubois or Shula or Franceone or Rollin Mike Price, UH I lose count it has been so many.
I will give you Bear Bryant, that man was a STUD!!!

iam4ua, the sinking ship stops eventually and the cream wil rise to the top. Bama doesn't come close to having the facilities that UT has. The Saban sheen will soon fade and the Tide will wash away. Just like the basketball Vols did the other night, the football Vols will be putting it on you again. Savor last year's win while you can> No doubt the NCAA inveestigators are on the way to Bama.

gohawks1 writes:

Say it ain't so! TDTN is a hoot to read! Bring him back!

Backfield? Loaded? Are you on crack, Foster fumbles and Hardesty, well we haven't seen him enough to say good or bad things about him. We need as many RBs as we can get. GO VOLS!!!

im4ua, I've seen a lot of facilities and OK. and Mich. are the best I've seen and I've been to fleatown, I mean Ttown. and your not even close to the facilities at either of those schools. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!
GO VOLS

utwick writes:

iam4UA,
Neyland is a shrine compared to what you have. BB Vols are drilling you and will continue to do so on a regular basis. Go back to the Bama message boards where others of your like want to listen to your dribble.

waterskier3#226480 writes:

sphs_vol i hope your right but if we finish any where close to where we're at now...... i would not want to be you on this site... you've been talking large!!!!!!!!!!

are you really a plant trying to pump everyone up and on signing day you're going to get on here and laugh at all of us vol fans????

utwick writes:

iam4UA, if
Bama's facilities are second only to Texas, than you are in sorry shape indeed. I live in Austin, Tx and see Texas's facilities on a regular basis and they are renovating their facilities as we speak. Royal Memorial still does not come close to seating as many as Neyland. The next time you come on this site talking trash, be sure to get your facts straight. You seem to be the one with the "pipe" dreams.

Yeah, guess I should have clarified. i was referring to Oregon, NC state, maryland, UNC, etc.
Definitely not Auburn or USC...

I apologize if you thought I was calling you out.
Read my post if you have a mintue or two.
thanks!!

anyone- what % do you think we have to land
all three of these guys? two? or even one?

OrangeBlitz writes:

Getting Enrique Davis would be huge. He might help UT convince other good recruits to come on board. I think recruiting is a lot about momentum. I wonder how much players pay attention to recruiting rankings?

dfreeman writes:

Did anyone figure out why TDTN vanished?? I never read anything in his posts that would warrant him getting axed!!

ATLVOL1 writes:

vol1994...none of them are likely, but I think the visit the last weekend says something?

AllVol writes:

sphs_vol, great to see you again, sir! I've been watching and waiting. Remember, I believe in you. Mark it down, y'all. I BELIEVE! I'd love to have Davis--big name--lots of "star power." We have long needed another marquee RB.

God bless the Volunteer State . . . .

iam4ua-
I'm a recruit looking for program that can offer me a 7-6 team, an a$$hole of a coach, an offensive coordinator that quits to take a position coach job, 3000 trailer parks full of delusional redneck fans, and a local paper that gives out national titles like livestock ribbons. Know of any schools that can provide all that?

I almost forgot, I want the coach to pack his bags for a better gig long before my senior year. Whadya think?

cjraney writes:

Is TDTN really gone? I hope not, he promised to set me up with his sister.....

I think he is cjraney!! Everything he ever posted is gone with him!! I just hope it was he that wanted to quit the board. If KNS axed him I think it's a shame! I never read anything that he wrote that would have warranted him getting axed!!
