Jerrell Harris isn’t talking; he’s leaving that to his school’s recruiting coordinator — Ali Smith.
Smith, who’s also the defensive coordinator at Gadsden City High School in Gadsden, Ala., said Harris won’t be doing any interviews until the 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker signs with his chosen school at an afternoon press conference on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
Smith said Harris is still considering “The Big Five”: Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, Auburn and Southern Cal.
If there’s any chance for the Vols to pull ahead of the pack, they’d have needed a special official visit for Harris last weekend. So far, so good.
“He had a great time,” Smith said. “On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a 12.”
