GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida hired Kenny Carter as running backs coach Thursday.
Carter spent the last four years in the same role at Vanderbilt, where he also worked as recruiting coordinator.
Carter also served as an assistant at Furman (1993), The Citadel (1994-98), LSU (1999), Pittsburgh (2000) and Penn State (2001-03).
Carter, a native of Camden, S.C., replaces Stan Drayton. Drayton left to take the same position at Tennessee after spending three years with the Gators.
