Jokes like that are a 'slap in the face'. They really 'hit the fans' where it hurts. I'm going to throw my virtual popcorn at Memphis for that. ***********************************

Since most of the jokes on that board were retreads here's a recycled joke:
Guy fails out of UT, enrolls at Memphis, and raises the collective GPA of both institutions.

Well if the mom is an idiot and the dad a moron, that means they are both Memphis graduates, and the offspring learned a valuable lessing growing up with stupid people and decided to break the cycle of ignorance.

That's a great article on Brian Williams ('Project' Gives Vols Brawn) that the Commercial Appeal ran. Too bad KNS writers are so wrapped up in needling Fulmer that they neglect to cover good stories like that one.

Just read Pat Forde's article on Memphis as "America's Team"! It really shows the thugs that Memphis has on their team. This is a must read: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/column...

The Williams story has been reported in the KNS. He hasn't gotten much ink lately because he hasn't done much, but Saturday would be a good time for him to step up. We will be in for a hard time if Wayne and Duke get in early foul trouble. Memphis is a lot bigger than we are up and down the roster. They constantly drive the ball to the rim and pound the offensive boards. Let Brian and Childress (remember him? kinda vague at this point) bang 'em in the first half and have Duke and Wayne save their fouls for the second half. Can't let JaJuan get in foul trouble either. Good night for Tabb to get some quality minutes.

I got a chuckle out of the Forde article for several reasons, not the least of which was his emphasis on leaving the "h" out of Memphis on the UAB poster. Judging by the apparent feelings of the UAB fans about Memphis--and some of the cruder posters on this forum--their error was in leaving off the second "s"(;-P)!

I can't wait to show the tigers how real basketball is played.I have seen a few of the Memphis games at the forum this year and I really believe the vols will take them down! Being from Knoxville everyone in my office always gives me a hard time.
I recently put up a picture of the Vols 98 National Championship in Football pointing out that Memphis will never ever have to worry about that!!!
