Career seasons for Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and Dallas tight end Jason Witten resulted in new honors for both former University of Tennessee stars on Wednesday as members of The Associated Press 2007 NFL All-Pro team.
It was the first for both Witten in his fifth season and Haynesworth in his sixth.
Witten and Haynesworth were selected by 50 media members who regularly cover the NFL.
Witten had 96 receptions and seven touchdowns.
“Any time you can be the best in the entire league, that’s always a special moment,” said Witten. “There’s a lot of great tight ends out there, so to be on the top of that list is nice.”
Haynesworth rebounded from a five-game suspension in 2006 to the best season of his career in 2007 even while missing three games with a strained left hamstring. He had a career-high six sacks, 69 tackles and 23 quarterback pressures.
“I appreciate all the support I have been given over the past year, and I can’t wait to get going again next season,” Haynesworth said.
Haynesworth is an unrestricted free agent. His agent, Chad Speck, has been in contact with the Titans discussing some details about a possible contract. Speck said the talks were preliminary and that he expects talks to continue in the coming weeks.
“Albert wants to finish his career a Tennessee Titan,” Speck said.

They have since corrected the error in the post. It said that Witten and Haynesworth were selected "FROM" 50 media members who follow the NFL.
That help...?

How come there's no thread here about Al Wilson getting cleared to play again? Its headline news on other sites.
