Curtis and Mobley reschedule visits

De’Anthony Curtis and Willie Mobley did not take their official trips to Tennessee this weekend as previously planned. Both are expected to reschedule for next weekend.

Curtis, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound tailback from Fairview High School in Camden, Ark., didn’t make the trip because his father wasn’t available to travel alongside. Curtis is considering UT, Arkansas and Oklahoma State.

Mobley, a 6-2, 260-pound defensive end from Eden Prairie (Minn.) High School, didn’t make the trip because his girlfriend suffered a minor injury while playing hockey. Mobley is committed to Ohio State but has shown interest in exploring other possibilities.

Man I hope these kids dont flake out. They are two extremely talented kids that need to be playing in the SEC. For Tennessee I might add.

You know a prospect's from the frozen north when his girl friend is a hockey player....

Sounds like Mobley is not very interested most likely, and I'm hoping that Petrino has not convinced Curtis not to visit Knoxville. I'm sure Bobby P. would prefer this kid not see our campus, facilities and get a favorable impression from the new offensive staff.

vol94, I agree with your brother. If he were interested in Tennessee, a minor inury to his girlfriend would not prevent his making the trip.Don't believe he ever set foot on campus. Could be wrong though.

Hey guys Ive heard that RB Darrell Scott, who was being recruited by Drayton, is now interested in the Vols. Good news, he's a great back. Hope Drayton can sway him. Also hope Drayton can bring some more firepower with him.

If by some chance we could even get Scott on campus that would be a great opportunity for us. Right now, and that may well be before we hired Stan Drayton, UT is no where on his radar.

Scott is listed as the No. 1 RB prospect in the country so you know everyone is after him. Texas seems to be his leader at this time.

Willie, You need to come to Tennessee just because you are a Mobley and all Mobleys I know are UT fans and I do know a lot of Mobleys because I am a Mobley, Paul Mobley to be exact.

I hope we go hard after Darrell Scott. We need to be trying to get into the mix with some top talent. The best way to get top talent is to work hard to recruit them. We might be surprised at who we can get committed to here if we'd go after them.

I do think it's kinda....interesting that the one guy had to miss because his girlfriend was injured in a hockey accident. It's like.... a yankee redneck thing or something... If you get into brutal, rough contact sports and so does your boyfriend- you might be a yankee redneck...

If my girlfriend played hockey, I'd make sure she was happy. That includes being at her bedside during injury for fear of getting injured. Come one, come all, we need ye.
