DeWanna Bonner and Auburn responded to a humbling loss with a resounding blowout of Georgia.
Bonner had 21 points and 13 rebounds in an 82-52 win over visiting and 10th-ranked Georgia on Sunday, nearly reversing the score from a humiliating defeat at No. 2 Tennessee three days earlier.
"I'm a really happy coach," Auburn's Nell Fortner said. "I think this team absolutely responded to a couple of really tough days of practice. There was a tremendous challenge put in front of them: Who are we?
"We had to find out who we are. They rose to the occasion."
The victory was the Tigers' first over a top 10 team in five years. Auburn (13-4, 1-1 SEC) had five players score in double figures and held the Lady Bulldogs (14-2, 1-1) to 30 percent shooting.
The win also snapped a three-game skid, including that 85-52 loss to the Lady Vols.
"We had to show everybody we're a ranked team," Bonner said. "I think we went out there and played scared" against Tennessee. "It was very important to come out here and show the world we're a better team than the way we played at Tennessee."
Bonner was effective inside and out, hitting two 3-pointers and helping limit Georgia All-American Tasha Humphrey to nine points and four rebounds.
Alli Smalley had 13 points and five assists for the Tigers, who made 20 of 23 free throws and 6 of 10 3-pointers. Auburn also got 12 points apiece from Sherell Hobbs, Trevesha Jackson and Tamela McCorvey.
Ashley Houts led Georgia with 15 points, but she also committed nine turnovers.
"It wasn't as difficult to get it in as it was to do anything with it when we did," Georgia coach Andy Landers said.
LSU 62, Vanderbilt 51: Sylvia Fowles scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help the No. 11 Lady Tigers (13-3, 2-0) beat the Commodores (12-5, 1-1) in Baton Rouge, La.
Quianna Chaney scored seven of her 12 points down the stretch for the Lady Tigers.
Jessica Mooney scored 15 points and Liz Sherwood 13 off the bench for Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt missed 14 of its first 15 field goal attempts.
Kentucky 64, Mississippi St. 60: Victoria Dunlap scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Wildcats (8-8, 2-0) over the Bulldogs in Jackson, Miss.
Samantha Mahoney added 12 points and Amber Smith scored 10 for Kentucky.
Tysheka Grimes led Mississippi State (12-5, 0-2) with 18 points and Imesia Jackson and Alexis Rack each scored 10.
Florida 80, Alabama 65: Depree Bowden scored 18 points and Marshae Dotson added 17 to lead Florida (12-5, 1-1) past Alabama (8-9, 1-1) for the Gators' eighth consecutive home victory.
Ole Miss 63, Arkansas 55: Shawn Goff had 18 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots to help the Rebels (7-8, 1-1) upset the No. 20 Razorbacks (15-2, 0-2) in Oxford, Miss.
Brittney Vaughn led Arkansas with 15 points.
