Offensive lineman Kenneth Page from A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, S.C., told the News Sentinel on Monday that he will announce his college decision on Friday.
The 6-4, 300-pounder is choosing between Tennessee, Clemson, North Carolina and Notre Dame.

Tennessee’s two biggest prospects in the Under Armor All-America High School football game are just that.
Antoine McClain stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 315 pounds. Kenneth Page is 6-4 and 300 pounds. They are considered two of the top offensive line prospects in the South.
Remember Tennessee’s goal stated: sign offensive linemen. Well, the Vols are halfway there. They’ve received commitments from two such prospects.
However, neither McClain nor Page are ready to commit to UT, or even say the Vols lead for their services. McClain, who is from Anniston (Ala.) High School, is considering UT, Clemson, Auburn and LSU. He’ll take all of his official visits this month.
Page, who is from A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, S.C., is considering UT, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Clemson and North Carolina. He’s already been on official visits to UT, Notre Dame and South Carolina.
Page has shown the most interest in the Vols. Aside from his official visit, he’s taken two other trips to check out Knoxville.
“They’re in good shape,” Page said.
Page said he’s not worried about the turnover on UT’s offensive staff
“The only coaches I have to be concerned with are the head coach and mainly the offensive line coach,” Page said.
UT offensive line coach Greg Adkins’ stability is just part of the draw. Page said the two have struck up quite a relationship, adding that Adkins has become his primary recruiter, trying to finish the job that defensive tackles coach Dan Brooks began.
In a winter of change, Page ironically sees stability as one of the Vols’ greatest offerings.
“Phillip Fulmer, he has a legacy there,” Page said. “I know he’s going to be there for a while. The way he runs and operates things is smooth.”
McClain became a center of recruiting attention when he expressed an early desire to leave Alabama to play. It’s not often that such prospects decide to leave the Yellowhammer state.
“They’re about full, “By the time I take my visit with them, they’re probably about full because everybody’s wanting to go there. I’ll just go do my own thing.”
Although McClain won’t say so, it seems there was some pressure to commit early.
“I didn’t want to make a decision so soon,”
UT was in perfect position to swoop in and sign McClain, especially when LSU coach Les Miles seemed destined to leave for Michigan. Now, Miles’ return will make things a lot harder for the Vols.
“A whole lot,” McClain said when asked how much Miles staying will affect his decision. “I didn’t really want to go to a program where the head coach is leaving or thinking about leaving. That’ll just throw the whole program off.”
McClain says his relationship with Fulmer is one of the strongest draws to Knoxville.
“He thinks I can come in and be an instant player that can play early and make a change on the football team,” McClain said.

If we get those two. things will be looking up. I'd say the kid from SC would be a better shot. I live in Alabama and there aren't too many kids that grow up here who don't hear every day they are alive how evil UT is. Of course, PT is PT and he is right - Alabama's offensive line is younger than ours and they have already signed a 5-star and a 4-star lineman so he probably isn't feeling the love. Auburn starts 1 true and 2 redshirt freshmen on the O-line so again, not looking good for early PT. I doubt if Clemson or SC can out-recruit us for an offensive lineman but Notre Dame sure could. However, they also have nearly used all of their scholarship offers and have signed several linemen already. We'll see. Go Vols!!!

Hey Kenneth:
If you come to Tennessee, you will have a blast, get a good education, interact with the best looking women, etc. If you are as good as they say, just look at who has the most players in the NFL. We are in the top 3-5 every year....Every year. How good are you.........We'll make you better.....And you'll make us better as well. Get up there. You will never regret it. I never have. Take care

Offer him a McNeil scholarship. That'd entice me. Does he have a brother who can play DT? Or DE?
Weiss is cleaning up at ND. Not that he need to. Whew.

PDHuff: Weiss better clean up. Did you see how bad they sucked this past year? If he has another couple of years like last year, they will Tyrone Willingham him!

I hope these guys come to TN, but they have to be developed and coached.

Yep, if you want a better chance at playing on Sunday making millions, come to UT. They have put 317 players into the NFL. That is a nationally ranking of 7th and signicantly higher than any other SEC team and ahead of other notable programs such as Florida State, Penn State, Miami, and Texas!

Anybody know where I can find UT's 2008 Football schedule. A long time ago, it was posted on this page somewhere--now I can't find it.

Like i said at a diffrent post, I just got in and spoke to a friend of mine who follows recruiting religiously.
He just listened to some radio show regarding recruiting on (sirrus radio) and the report stated that it is a two headed race b/t notre dame and clemson. Again, this is all hearsay but it just seems like we can't grab any of these kids this year.
There was an article in the Tennesseean( someone posted it at another thread) where a kid chose KY over UT stating we had to many discipline issues at our program recently.
I did not ask him what radio station it was but the analyst on air stated UT will have its worst recruiting years in 20 plus years. blowing smoke?
I hope so..
