Marc, Vandy has been exposed as a pretender as much as OleMiss has. Should be a win there too. But, I'm not going to be surprised if they slip up and lose one we shouldn't (i.e., Kentucky).
Miss ST, at FL, and Memphis (unless Memphis is still without a loss). I think we will sweeep SC, GA, beat FL & KY at home, Beat Bama & LSU in away games, Aub & ARk at home and finally we will also sweep Vandy! (9-3 or 10-2) GO VOLS!
I think there is one more loss on the schedule. Don't know if it is Memphis or Florida, but it will happen. It will be a good thing too. Keep them hungry.
I figure that Mississippi State is a little overhyped right now. Who have they played? This isn't sarcasm, just curious. Don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that Ole Miss has a major contributor injured right now, even if he is playing. The team I saw play UT wouldn't lose by 20 to anybody.
I won't say I'm hoping for one more loss, but I don't want the guys going into the tournaments with a cocky, laissez faire attitude. I want them hungry, very hungry. Look at the abuse they just piled on Georgia, a team that was supposed to give them problems, after being embarrassed at UK. If they can keep the memory of the Rupp loss in their heads through March Madness, great; if not, one more wake up call may be just the thing to take them to the Final Four.
Alabama tonight will be tough, but I think the Vols get a W there. Miss. St. on Saturday is another story. They are so strong inside that I think it will wear on us. Duke Crews coming back is huge for us and he may pay big dividends there. However, I still say that is a loss.
I would say the L at Miss. St. and one other place. Memphis is most likely place followed by Florida and Vandy. I expect a 10-2 record down the stretch.
