Four more Vols ready to enroll in summer school

Eleven of 18 from football recruiting class on campus

STORY TOOLS

Four more Tennessee football players are set to enroll today, the first day of second session of summer classes.

Wide receiver E.J. Abrams-Ward, offensive lineman Carson Anderson, offensive lineman Preston Bailey and fullback Ben Bartholomew are expected in Knoxville.

Those four players join five freshmen who enrolled for the first session last month. Tailback Tauren Poole and fullback Austin Johnson enrolled in January and participated in spring practice.

Abrams-Ward is the most high-profile of UT's recruits enrolling for second session. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound native of Thomasville, N.C., was ranked Rivals.com's No. 11 athlete in the nation and the top prospect in North Carolina.

Bailey and Bartholomew, younger brother of former UT fullback Will Bartholomew, played last season together at Montgomery Bell Academy.

Anderson, whose father played with defensive coordinator John Chavis at Tennessee, is a 6-3, 275-pound lineman from Florence, Ala.

UT has 11 of its 18 players from this year's recruiting class on campus, and wide receiver Steven Fowlkes is expected to report Aug. 1.

Drew Edwards covers University of Tennessee football. He may be reached at 865-342-6274.
