Renovations to Neyland Stadium's west concourse, including creation of first level mezzanine, locker room and media center upgrades, and addition of Letterman's room should be done in time for the Vols' season opener Sept. 13, the University of Tennessee announced today.
UT Executive Associate Athletic Director John Currie took media on a tour.
The second phase of the work also includes extensive brick work around the field level and amenities such as new family bathrooms and improved access for fans.
"Neyland Stadium holds a special place in the heart of Tennessee fans everywhere," said Mike Hamilton, UT Athletic Director. "I believe these renovations will enhance the fan experience for years to come."
The entire project, once all phases are complete, will come in at about $200 million, according to UT Athletics Department projections.
