Indiana Fever star Tamika Catchings was cleared to play Thursday after an MRI showed no damage to her Achilles' tendon, which she injured last season.
The former Tennessee Lady Vol star missed the first eight games of the season following surgery in September. She was kicked in the foot during Wednesday's 81-77 loss to the last-place Atlanta Dream.
The team said the exam indicated no damage to the tendon.
The five-time All-Star did not practice Thursday and is listed as questionable for today's home game against Seattle.
Mercury 99, Sparks 92: Former Tennessee star Candace Parker scored 23 points and had 13 rebounds for Los Angeles, but Cappie Pondexter scored 27 points and Diana Taurasi 23 for host Phoenix.
Liberty 77, Mystics 56: Ashley Battle scored 15 points and Janel McCarville had 12 to help host New York win. New York won for the fifth time in seven games, including three in a row. Former Lady Vol Loree Moore had two points and an assist for New York.
Comets 96, Lynx 88: Tina Thompson scored 25 points off the bench, helping host Houston snap a three-game losing streak. Former Lady Vol Michelle Snow had six point and six rebounds for Houston. Former Lady Vol Nicky Anosike had eight points and six rebounds for Minnesota.
