Kellie Jolly Harper has another game at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Harper, the point guard on three national championship teams at Tennessee, will coach Western Carolina on Nov. 25 against the Lady Vols, the school announced on its Web site.
“Having a chance to play in Knoxville is a real treat for our players,” Harper said in the release. “Tennessee is the best atmosphere to play a women’s basketball game and our players deserve to experience that.”
This will be the second meeting between Harper and Summitt. UT and Western Carolina played in the first round of the 2005 NCAA tournament when Harper was a first-year coach at Western Carolina.
Tennessee also will play at Chattanooga on Nov. 21, where Harper was an assistant coach before going to Western Carolina.
Other non-conference games on UT’s schedule include a top TV date: a Feb. 2 game against Oklahoma in Oklahoma City that will be part of ESPN’s Big Monday coverage.
The Lady Vols will host Stanford on Dec. 21.
