The Big Orange Football Warm-up and More is back for its eighth year to give University of Tennessee football fans a preview of the upcoming season.
Participants in the non-credit course will hear from defensive line coach Dan Brooks as well as SEC referee Rocky Goode. Brooks has coached at UT since 1994 and was named the SEC’s outstanding defensive line coach after the 1998 national championship season.
As an added bonus, former UT basketball standout Dane Bradshaw will share stories from his pro career in Europe.
The two-session course is offered Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 by UT’s Department of Professional & Personal Development. It will be held from 6:30-8:30 each evening in the Ray Mears Room of Thompson-Boling Arena.
The fee is $59.
Moderators for the class are Haywood Harris, longtime Vols publicist and historian, and Don K. Ferguson, author and News Sentinel grammar and history columnist.
