Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer was busy with a full slate of activities and appearances Monday at ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn.
Fulmer accepted the invitation earlier this summer from the worldwide sports network to visit the headquarters location and make the rounds. He is scheduled to appear on several of the daily television, radio and Internet programs.
"It's a great opportunity and I'm looking forward to it," Fulmer said Sunday while en route. "The build-up to the season has been tremendous this year, and ESPN always has been a great partner to our league. The atmosphere at those Saturday night games in the fall, whether at home or away, is tremendous."
Among the programs hosting Fulmer live were "Mike and Mike in the Morning" (approximately 9:40 a.m. Eastern), First Take (10:50 a.m.), The Herd on ESPN Radio (11:25 a.m.), ESPN.com chat (12:30 p.m.) and Tirico and Van Pelt on ESPN Radio (1:25 p.m.). Fulmer also is taping the Hotlist for ESPNews and College Football Live, both of which will air later in the afternoon.
The Vols begin their 2008 season Labor Day Night at UCLA, with ESPN carrying the action in an exclusive prime time window.
