Scott Drucker, who pitched for the University of Tennessee in 2004, had his contract purchased by the Detroit Tigers. He will report to Class AA Erie in the Eastern League.
Druker made 15 starts for the Grand Prairie (Texas) AirHogs of the independent American Association. He was 8-3 with a 2.41 ERA with 20 walks and 57 strikeouts in 93 1/3 innings.
The 26-year-old Drucker was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 13th round of the 2004 draft. Drucker pitched three seasons in the A's organization accumulating a record of 20-11 with a 4.70 ERA.
