Parker finalist for the Honda-Broderick Cup.

Former University of Tennessee basketball player Candace Parker is one of five finalists for the Honda-Broderick Cup.

Virginia Tech's Angela Tincher (softball), Duke's Amanda Blumenherst (golf), North Carolina's Rachel Dawson (field hockey) and Arizona State's Jacquelyn Johnson (track) also were nominated Wednesday.

They were each selected as Honda award winners in their respective sports. Winners in 12 sports were selected by a vote from among more than 1,000 NCAA-member institutions.

The Honda-Broderick Cup winner will be announced at Columbia University on June 23.
