we're going to need bobby to pick up on the free throw shooting, or else it's ramar all over again at the line...

Hopefully everyone improves in one facet of the game or another in the RTL. No matter what happens (except for injury) this will be the most talented vols team EVER!

GO VOLS!

Interesting stuff, but the format is pretty close to unreadable.

Still, the coverage of UT sports by this staff is getting better and better. I appreciate the efforts of the News Sentinel to provide better recruiting coverage and more interesting articles.

Cameron Tatum is tearing it up!

As far as the format:
Get an intern or two to add some tables to these pages. It looks like someone merely cut-and-paste the information from a plain text email.

YAy! Another year of peaking in February and bowing out in early March!!

b_neas writes:

Aparently the recruits do not share your same sentiment Tennisajoke. They apparently looked at the body of work (30 wins) and see Tenn is a up and coming top 15 program. They want to be part of it, which is seen by our top 10 recruiting class. If Pearl won 30 games with avergae talent and made it to the sweet 16, just think of what he can do with solid talent.

I dunno about the average tallent comment. Crews, Chism, Tabb, and Ramar were heralded as one of the greatest classes ever. They along with the guy who transferred were being called the fabulous 5. Lofton wasn't a shabby player and neither was Jajuan.

Oh... I forgot Tyler Smith.

It wasn't North Carolina calibur, but it isn't like it wasn't a team that could have made it farther. They were ranked number 1 for a week. Point guard play was the downfall.

I do think they will be better this year. Even if they don't win as many games, I think they could make it farther come March.

b_neas writes:

Greatest classes ever at UT is not even top 10 in the college bball world. This class is top 10 in all of colege bball. That was a nice class (crews, chism, etc) but on a scale of 1 to 10 that class was at 6 (at the time of signing) and this one is a 8 or 9. Maze and Hopson can contribute significantly immediatly, and nege and woodridge will get plenty PT. Crews, Chism, Tabb, and Ramar were solid but none contributed significantly as freshman.

alfrizzle097 writes:

You're right. Crews and Chism were only our two best big men and Ramar only started at PG.

Class was better at the time of signing than at the end of last year. Don't let last year obscure your remembrance...

b_neas writes:

Starting is not contributing. They started because we had no one better. At the same points in time for signing classes right now this class is way way better. Will they end up being better, I think no doubt, but who knows?

What is wrong with Chiz? Has the summer heat gotten to him?
