The first day of the USC Collegiate Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif., was a tale of two rounds for the No. 9 Tennessee men's golf team.
The first round saw the Vols struggle to a 34-over-par 318 before rebounding in the second round with a 2-over 286. The Vols are in seventh place heading into today's final round.
Junior Chris Paisley (77-71) paced the Vols in a tie for eighth place. Freshman Robin Wingardh (79-71) was next for UT tied for 14th. Sophomore David Holmes (82-71) and senior Philip Pettitt (80-73) tied for 27th. Senior Charlie Ford shot 82-80.
