Tennessee All-American guard Chris Lofton was out of his protective walking boot and into running shoes Tuesday.
Lofton did not take part in the Vols regular practice session after injuring his ankle in the Vols' second-round win over Butler.
UT coach Bruce Pearl said Lofton had a soreness in his ankle and heel, and that he anticipates Lofton will practice Wednesday in preparation for the Vols' Thursday night game with Louisville in the East Region Sweet 16 at Charlotte, N.C. Pearl said the injury would not have prevented Lofton from playing even if the game had been today.

Does the N-S page load slowly for everybody else, too? Of all the pages I visit, this one loads the slowest. I have high-speed connection, but this page is still slow.

Well, all the so-called experts are picking Louisville. Somehow, I think Bruce will have them ready for the "underdog" role. Should be interesting.

I'm with ya', Colliervol. I was surprised to see it, given how little relevant history this program has, but I think the guys got a little cocky and complacent after beating Memphis. Everyone was excusing the loss to Vandy because they were tired and drained and of course the ever-popular "Memorial Gym Curse". The SEC tourney swoon was blamed on a hangover from winning the first regular-season championship in 41 years. They went into the American and Butler games feeling slighted and huffy over losing the #1 seed, and got bogged down in slow-down games. Now they've got Louisville, a historic power with an up-tempo game, and no one outside Knoxville giving them much of a chance to win. If I have read CBP and this team correctly, they will come out determined to make history for this program again and jump on the Cardinals like a rooster on a junebug. It won't matter what they will or won't have left for UNC if they don't win on Thursday. GO VOLS!!! PLUCK THE BIRDS!!! ON TO SAN ANTONIO!!!
